Warranty Information
Every product sold through Radian Batteries is backed by the original manufacturer's warranty. We curate our catalog from established battery and charger manufacturers and act as your direct point of contact for the entire warranty period — so when something needs attention, you don't have to chase down the manufacturer yourself.
This page explains how warranties work for products purchased through Radian, what's typically covered, and how to reach us if you need to file a claim.
How Our Warranties Work
Every battery, charger, and power product sold through Radian Batteries carries the manufacturer's original warranty. Warranty terms — including duration, coverage, and conditions — are set by each manufacturer and vary by product category and intended use. The full warranty documentation for your product is included with your order confirmation and shipping paperwork, and is also available on request.
Radian Batteries serves as your authorized point of contact throughout the warranty period. When an issue arises, you don't need to navigate the manufacturer's claims process alone — our team coordinates directly with the manufacturer on your behalf, manages documentation, and helps move your claim toward resolution as quickly as possible.
Typical Warranty Durations by Product Category
Warranty duration depends on the manufacturer and the specific product, but as a general guide:
- Industrial Forklift Batteries (flooded lead-acid): Typically 3 to 5 years (or a defined number of charge cycles), as defined by the manufacturer.
- Industrial Chargers: Typically 1 to 3 years, full replacement coverage on manufacturing defects.
- AGM and Sealed Lead-Acid Batteries: Typically 1 to 3 years, depending on the application (cycle vs. standby).
- Deep Cycle and Marine/RV Batteries: Typically 12 to 18 months, depending on manufacturer and product line.
Specific terms for your purchase are listed on your order confirmation and the documentation included with the product. If you need clarification before purchase, contact our team and we will provide the exact warranty terms for any product.
What's Covered
Manufacturer warranties typically cover defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions, as defined by the manufacturer. This includes:
- Premature capacity loss not caused by misuse
- Manufacturing defects in cells, terminals, cases, or internal components
- Charger circuit failures under normal load
- Defects identified during the warranty period that prevent the product from performing as specified
What's Not Covered
Standard manufacturer exclusions generally include:
- Damage from improper installation, undersized cabling, or incorrect application
- Damage from over-discharge, over-charge, or use of a non-approved charger
- Physical damage from drops, impacts, freezing, or fire
- Normal wear consistent with the product's age and use
- Use outside the manufacturer's stated operating range (temperature, voltage, cycle depth)
- Modifications, repairs, or service performed by unauthorized parties
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect performance
A complete list of exclusions is included in each manufacturer's warranty document.
How to File a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product has a warranty-eligible issue, here's what to do:
- Gather your information: Order number, product model and serial number, date of purchase, and a description of the issue. Photos of the product (including any visible damage or labels) are very helpful.
- Contact our team: Call (888) 646-9588 or email service@radian-batteries.com with your information.
- Initial review: Our team will review your claim and may ask follow-up questions to determine warranty eligibility.
- Manufacturer coordination: For eligible claims, we coordinate directly with the manufacturer to authorize repair, replacement, or pro-rated credit per the warranty terms.
- Resolution: Most warranty claims are resolved within 2 to 4 weeks, though complex cases involving freight and inspection may take longer.
Damaged in Transit vs. Warranty
Damage caused during shipping is handled separately from warranty claims. If your shipment arrives damaged, please refer to our Shipping Policy and notify us within 3 business days of delivery so we can file a freight claim with the carrier. Photographing damage at the time of delivery is critical.
Defective on Arrival
If a product is dead-on-arrival or fails within the first 30 days, please reach out immediately. We'll work with the manufacturer to expedite a replacement so you can get back up and running with minimal downtime.
