We collect information in three ways: (a) information you give us, (b) information collected automatically when you use the Site, and (c) information from third parties.

a. Information You Provide

  • Contact information — name, email address, phone number, company name (for B2B buyers).

  • Product and fitment details — equipment make, model, year, voltage requirements, battery group size, and other specifications you submit through our fitment tool, product pages, or to our sales team.

  • Account information — if you create an account, your username and password.
  • Payment information — credit/debit card number, expiration date, and CVV. Payment card data is collected and processed directly by our PCI-compliant payment processors and is not stored on our servers.
  • Contact form submissions — the contents of any forms you submit on the Site (general inquiry, support, warranty, quote, etc.).
  • Chat messages — the contents of any conversations you have with us through our live chat tool, including any contact information or product details you share during the chat.
  • Other communications — messages you send us through email, phone, or postal mail.

b. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect:

  • Device and browser data — IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, device identifiers, screen size, and language.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, products viewed, links clicked, search terms used on the Site, landing page, referring/exit URLs, time spent on pages, and date/time stamps.
  • Shopping activity — items added to or removed from cart, cart abandonment, and checkout steps reached or completed.
  • Advertising identifiers — click IDs (such as Google's GCLID, Microsoft's MSCLKID, and Meta's FBCLID) appended to URLs when you arrive from an ad, cookie identifiers set by our advertising partners, and similar identifiers used to measure ad performance and serve relevant ads.
  • Location data — approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS-level geolocation.
  • Cookie and similar technology data — see Section 6 below.

c. Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from:

  • Advertising partners (Google, Microsoft, Meta) about how you interacted with our ads.
  • Analytics providers (Google Analytics).
  • Shipping carriers (tracking and delivery confirmation).
  • Fraud prevention and identity verification services.
  • Publicly available sources, when verifying business accounts.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, biometric data, precise geolocation, or other "sensitive personal information" as defined by state privacy laws.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Process and fulfill your orders, including taking payment, arranging shipping, and providing tracking.
  • Provide customer support, answer questions, respond to quote requests, and handle returns or warranty claims.
  • Create and manage your account.
  • Send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, receipts).
  • Send marketing emails or promotional offers, where you have opted in or as otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our products.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
  • Measure the performance of our advertising and marketing campaigns and to deliver targeted advertising on third-party platforms (see Section 6).
  • Comply with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements, and to enforce our terms.

We do not use personal information to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human involvement.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do, however, share information with the following categories of recipients to run our business:

  • Service providers and vendors - including our e-commerce platform (BigCommerce), payment processors, hosting providers, email and customer-support tools, fraud prevention services, and shipping/logistics carriers.
  • Advertising and analytics partners - including Google (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Merchant Center), Microsoft (Microsoft Advertising / UET), and Meta (Facebook/Instagram). These partners may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to measure performance and serve targeted advertising. Sharing of personal information with these partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "share" under California and other state privacy laws. See Section 7 for how to opt out.
  • Professional advisors - auditors, accountants, lawyers, and insurers, when reasonably necessary.
  • Government authorities and others - when required by subpoena, court order, or other legal process; to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our customers or the public; or to investigate fraud or violations of our terms.
  • In connection with a business transaction - such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case personal information may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to this Policy.

We do not knowingly disclose personal information of consumers under 16 without affirmative authorization.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

For visitors located in jurisdictions with comprehensive privacy laws (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Tennessee, Indiana, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and others now or later in force), we process personal information based on one or more of the following:

  • Performance of a contract - to fulfill your order or provide services you've requested.
  • Legitimate business interests - to run, secure, and improve our business, prevent fraud, and market our products.
  • Compliance with legal obligations - tax, accounting, consumer protection, and product safety laws.
  • Consent - where required, for example for certain marketing communications or non-essential cookies.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits (SDKs), and similar technologies to recognize your device, remember your preferences, measure how you use the Site, and serve advertising.

The categories we use include:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Site, cart, checkout, and account login to work. Examples include session cookies, CSRF tokens, our content delivery network, and fraud-prevention technologies.
  • Analytics — including Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-KYL7G44FP4) and BigCommerce's built-in store analytics, used to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
  • Advertising and conversion tracking — including the Google Ads tag (with enhanced conversions), Microsoft Advertising UET tag, and Meta Pixel (including server-side Conversions API events), used to measure ad performance, build audiences, and serve interest-based ads on Google, YouTube, Bing, Facebook, Instagram, and partner sites.
  • Functional — to remember preferences such as language, recently viewed products, and live-chat session state.
  • Customer support and live chat — our live chat provider sets cookies and stores message content to deliver and route conversations.

We may add or change tools over time. Categories of tools we may use now or in the future include call tracking, customer data platforms (CDPs), server-side tag management, marketing-email platforms, SMS platforms, customer-review platforms, and A/B testing tools. Any new tool we add will fall into one of the categories above and will be subject to your privacy choices on the Your Privacy Choices page.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may break parts of the Site (for example, checkout). You can also opt out of certain advertising cookies through industry programs:

  • Digital Advertising Alliance: https://optout.aboutads.info
  • Network Advertising Initiative: https://optout.networkadvertising.org
  • Your Online Choices (EU): https://www.youronlinechoices.eu

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required by law. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising for that browser and device.

We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because no common industry standard has been adopted, but we honor GPC as described above.

Advertising Uses

We use the cookies, pixels, and identifiers described above, together with information you provide and information about your activity on the Site, for the following advertising purposes:

  • Conversion tracking — measuring which ads, keywords, and campaigns lead to purchases, quote requests, account signups, and other actions on the Site.
  • Campaign measurement — understanding overall ad performance, return on ad spend, reach, and frequency.
  • Retargeting — showing ads on other websites and apps to people who have visited the Site or specific products.
  • Customer list uploads and Customer Match — uploading hashed customer email addresses, phone numbers, and similar identifiers to advertising platforms (such as Google Customer Match and Meta Custom Audiences) so we can show ads to existing customers, suppress them from prospecting campaigns, or build similar audiences.
  • Enhanced conversions — sending hashed customer information alongside conversion events to improve attribution accuracy on Google Ads.
  • Offline conversion imports — importing offline events such as phone-quote closures or post-checkout returns back into ad platforms to improve attribution and bidding.
  • Lookalike / similar audience modeling — asking advertising platforms to find new prospective customers who resemble our existing customers, where the platform supports this feature.
  • Audience exclusions — excluding existing customers, recent purchasers, or unqualified visitors from certain campaigns.
  • Ad personalization — selecting which ads, products, and offers to show based on your inferred interests, browsing behavior, and stage in the buying journey.

You can opt out of these advertising uses through our Your Privacy Choices page, through the industry programs listed above, or by sending a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser.

Want to opt out right now? Visit Your Privacy Choices to manage your cookie preferences and exercise your privacy rights, or click Manage Cookie Preferences to open the consent center directly.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

  • Right to know / access - request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and information about how we process it.
  • Right to correct - ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.

  • Right to opt out of targeted advertising - ask us to stop using your personal information for targeted advertising.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information - we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger this right, but you may still submit a request.
  • Right to appeal - if we deny your request, you have the right to appeal our decision. To appeal, reply to our denial response or email service@radian-batteries.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal."

How to Submit a Request

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may require written proof of authorization and verification of the consumer's identity.

We respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally within 45 days, with one extension where allowed).

Notice for California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information described in Cal. Civ. Code Section 1798.140: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP, account ID); customer records (billing/shipping address, payment information); commercial information (orders, products purchased); internet/network activity (browsing and interaction with the Site); approximate geolocation (from IP); and inferences drawn from the above (such as product interests).

We have disclosed for a business purpose all of the above categories to our service providers (e.g., BigCommerce, payment processors, shipping carriers, support tools, analytics providers).

We have "sold" or "shared" identifiers, internet/network activity, and inferences with our advertising partners (Google, Microsoft, Meta) for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, as those terms are defined under California law.

We have not sold or shared personal information of consumers we know to be under 16.

We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in Section 9.

8. Email Marketing and Communications

We comply with the federal CAN-SPAM Act. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and we will honor unsubscribe requests promptly. You will continue to receive transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping updates, customer-service replies) even if you unsubscribe from marketing.

If you provided your phone number and have consented to text messages, message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP. We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) for any telephone or text-based marketing.

9. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this Policy, including:

  • Order records - generally seven (7) years to satisfy tax and accounting requirements.
  • Account data - for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward.
  • Marketing data - until you opt out, plus a short suppression-list period to honor your opt-out.
  • Support communications - generally up to three (3) years.
  • Analytics and advertising data - per the retention periods set in Google Analytics and our ad platforms (typically 14 months by default).

When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

10. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. These include encryption of payment information in transit (TLS), restricted access controls, and reliance on PCI-DSS-compliant payment processors. No system is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.

11. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at service@radian-batteries.com and we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may link to third-party websites, applications, or services (for example, manufacturers, shipping carriers, or social media platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their privacy policies before sharing personal information with them.

13. International Visitors

The Site is operated from the United States and intended for customers in the United States. If you visit from outside the US, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country. We do not currently market to or knowingly sell to consumers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of the page. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice (such as a banner on the Site or an email to registered customers). Your continued use of the Site after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
